Real estate developer and asset manager – Niveda – has submitted plans for a purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) block in the North West of Sheffield city centre.
The PBSA project – Calico Sheffield – is on a site bounded by Hollis Croft and Broad Lane. The scheme will be ten to 27 storeys high and will consist of 520 student bedrooms.
The developer plans to demolish the site – which is currently a former BMW showroom and a three-storey office building in St Vincent’s Quarter. The plans for the new PBSA scheme has been designed by Lewis and Hickey architects with MEP design by Waterman.
Niveda is expanding its portfolio across the UK of its Calico brand student accommodation – which aims to bring a new standard of living experience to the sector. With 500,000 sq ft under development, Niveda has over £200m of assets under management, including its Calico Liverpool PBSA scheme.
Both PBSA schemes will be of a high quality with future-proofed designs to provide options to convert the project if there are changes to market conditions.
