Study Inn appoints MD of Developments

Study Inn Group has appointed an MD of Developments to join its Senior Management Board.

Luxury hotel-style student accommodation owner, developer and operator – Study Inn Group – has appointed an MD of Developments to its Senior Management Board. The appointed, Simon Liversage, will head up the development arm of the group’s business.

Simon brings over thirty years’ residential and student sector experience in hands-on delivery of development projects – specialising in overall commercial management, procurement, contractual arrangements and handover to operating teams.

The Study Inn Group was founded in 2009 to provide customer focused high-quality bespoke accommodation in city centres with hotel-like services. These include concierge, 247 management, room cleaning and linen services at no additional cost. Kitchen equipment is also provided as standard. Schemes have controlled building access, 24-hour on-site security and a dedicated centre manager.

All Study Inns offer a range of uniquely designed studios and shared serviced apartments within close proximity to the University. The PBSA schemes include communal facilities including a wellness centre, entertainment area, cinema suite and conference/study rooms.

Study Inn Group have focused on resident wellbeing and whole life experience since its inception. There is a regular programme of social events and opportunities for interaction amongst residents.

The group developed and operated ten Study Inn’s – totalling 1,494 student rooms – to create its Portfolio 1 in Coventry, Nottingham, Sheffield and Cambridge. Portfolio 1 was sold to Arlington Advisors for £135m in December 2017. The Group subsequently operated Portfolio 1 under the Study Inn brand for Arlington under a rolling operator agreement until 1 February 2021.

The group is currently building its improved 2nd generation ‘Portfolio 2’ properties – and has developed and is operating Study Inn’s in Bristol, Loughborough, Nottingham and Exeter, with Leicester and Leeds in build stage and other undisclosed locations in secured pipeline.
