Locally based accommodation providers ULIV have developed a student accommodation scheme that is centrally located in Leicester city centre, with facilities that aim to provide ‘home away from home’ comforts. All bills are included to avoid unexpected hidden costs.

The boutique ULIV apartments have been redeveloped in buildings centrally located and in close proximity to De Montfort University and the University of Leicester, with all night on-site security and support, and 24/7 CCTV. Each apartment includes a kitchen, smart TV, internet, and on-site services such as laundry and communal areas.

One of the ULIV redevelopments is a former high-street bank on London Road known as The Bank, and is within walking distance of the University of Leicester campus, shops, bars, the city centre and transport networks.

For students at De Montfort University, The Gateway building is available. Named after Leicester landmark – the Magazine Gateway, the accommodation is situated at the centre of De Montfort University campus and close to the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

“Moving house is frequently cited as one of life’s most stressful events. This coupled with moving to a new city from a different country or city after the pandemic has meant students and their families want to ensure comfort, convenience and value for money.

“This year more than ever parents and students have needed reassurance that the accommodation choice they make is reliable and suited to their requirements, especially for students who make long journeys from other cities or abroad to study. We know Leicester really well and have listened to what students want. This has helped us to create safe havens for students arriving to study internationally and from other cities.

“We have worked hard with our partners to keep our doors open and meet our commitment to the students choosing to live at ULIV. We strive to make settling into university much easier and to help students have the best experience possible of living in Leicester.”

ULIV have also opened a third set of apartments – known as The Orchard – located on Friars Lane, with costs starting at £165 per week.
