Student accommodation provider Student Roost opens new flats at its purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Warwick. The Oaks, which opened in 2020 and is the only PBSA next to the University of Warwick’s main campus, underwent development in the summer to add 680 beds to its existing 378 beds. The expansion aims to provide dedicated rooms for both postgraduate and international students, with flexible tenancy lengths and payment options.

Located a ten-minute walk from the main University of Warwick campus and with transport links to and from Coventry, Warwick and Leamington Spa, The Oaks offers room options including ensuites, studios and one-bedroom apartments. Residents also have access to amenities including social lounges, quiet study rooms, a games area with consoles and classic games, a rooftop terrace and a gym. The Oaks is also surrounded by green outdoor spaces where residents can walk, exercise and relax.

The main building also features a hosting kitchen, which students can book for practising their cooking skills or hosting friends and flatmates. Throughout October, the property team hosted cooking events for residents, such as coffee mornings and hot chocolate making.

All bills, including broadband, gas, electric and water are included in the rent price for each room, with the intention that students will not have to face rising energy and broadband costs this winter.

“We’re delighted to see that the first residents to enjoy our new flats at The Oaks are arriving and settling in for this academic year.

“With this development, we wanted to create a dedicated space for postgraduate and international students to live during their studies, as often they have different requirements to students who may be in their first or second year of study.

“This development marks the completion of The Oaks since it first opened in 2020 and is the perfect place for students in all years of study to live their best student life.”
