Unite Students announces two new senior hires

Unite Students announces two new senior hires to the roles of Asset Management Director and Group Development Director.

The UK’s largest provider of student accommodation – Unite Students – announces two new senior appointments. Claire Barber joins the business as Asset Management Director and Tom Brewerton is promoted to Group Development Director.

Claire joined the business in early January 2023. Previously she was Director of Asset Management at property management and investment company, Cadogan. Claire was responsible for Cadogan’s mixed use London Estate which is valued at almost £5bn. Prior to that, she was Head of Central London Retail and Meadowhall at property company British Land.

Tom Brewerton – who has been with the business for eight years – has been promoted to Group Development Director, to lead its property development team. Tom joined the company in 2015 as Acquisitions and Development Surveyor. He has recently overseen the completion of two major projects – £190m Hayloft Point development in Aldgate, which completed last year, and £45m Campbell House in Bristol, which also opened in 2022.
