true student has been selected by Swansea University to be its official accommodation partner that will benefit 550 students at the riverside true Swansea purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme each year.

The £13m three-year nominations contract between true student and Swansea University was awarded to true following a highly competitive tender and procurement process.

1,650 Swansea students are set to benefit from the deal.

“This collaboration is great news for Swansea students, more of whom will now get the chance to experience everything we offer here at true Swansea, and for the university, which is keen to broaden the types of accommodation options it can offer. But, beyond that, this is a fantastic endorsement of true student that demonstrates how important it is for providers to look beyond the bricks and mortar and to put student care, experience and wellbeing at the very heart of their operations. I’m really looking forward to building this relationship with Swansea University to truly elevate the Swansea student experience.”

Ben Morley, Managing Director (MD), true student

The university commended true Swansea for its prime central location and the quality of its rooms, amenities, communal areas and outdoor spaces.

“We are delighted to have this new agreement with true student which will mean that all first-year students, including those who come through Clearing, will be guaranteed high quality accommodation as part of our offer to them. It also gives our students an even wider range of accommodation choices, while still giving them that all-important Swansea University experience.”

Niamh Lamond, Registrar and Chief Operating Officer, Swansea University

Senior staff at the university were also impressed at true’s commitment to the student experience and wellbeing through its popular events programme, dedicated mental health provision and 24/7 customer care and security.
