Student accommodation provider Kexgill has completed the refurbishment of Larch House, which was formally completed on Wednesday 11 August and is now ready for immediate occupation.

The 117-bed development is located next to Liverpool and John Moors universities. Having been purchased by the Kexgill Group in 2022 from Unite Students, the company comprehensively refurbished the interior.

“We were able to start and complete this Liverpool development within strict time constraints because it was classed as refurbishment not requiring planning approval. We have five other schemes all delayed in the planning process which is all too common at the present time. Frustrating given the time constraints around student occupation dates.”

Higrade Developments Limited who have just started work on Kexgill’s latest purchase, Raleigh House in Nottingham, completed Larch House, maintaining the company’s standards and bespoke design.

InterBay funded the Larch House PBSA development and are the investment term lender, with Phase 2 of the development, which includes a student welfare hub, currently awaiting planning decision. Kexgill’s entire Liverpool presence is set to be rebranded as the University Quarter® from September.
