Property consultancy Knight Frank appoints David Goatman to the newly created role of Global Head of Energy and Sustainability Services. Joining the company over 13 years ago, David is currently Head of Energy, Sustainability and Natural Resources EMEA.

This new role will allow Knight Frank to ambitiously grow its Energy and Sustainability Services (ESS) teams in eight global locations over the next two years. As the company continues to expand its purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) presence, its sustainability and ESG initiatives reflect it’s commitment to both.

“I am delighted to be taking on this new role and overall responsibility for our global Energy and Sustainability products, services and strategy. The level of client demand we are seeing for these services across our global platform is unprecedented and it is absolutely right for us to be expanding at this time. We already have some very strong Energy and Sustainability teams around the world and it is hugely exciting to be able to support our clients with these services in new global locations.”

After winning numerous mandates from global clients as they help businesses navigate the path towards Net Zero, Knight Frank has already expanded its Energy and Sustainability Services (ESS) teams globally.

In recent years, the company’s Energy, Sustainability and Natural Resources business has grown significantly to include ESG Consultancy, Renewables, E-Mobility, Utilities Consultancy, Infrastructure, Waste and Minerals. For the last five consecutive years, the team has delivered record fee turnover.

“The greatest challenge facing the global real estate industry is climate change and the pathway to net zero. As a global business it is crucial that we support our clients on this journey with a range of high-quality advisory services.

“David has successfully grown our UK Energy and Sustainability business over a number of years and I am very pleased that he has taken on this global role.”
