Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) provider and Dandara Group division – Dandara Living – has been granted planning permission by Glasgow City Council to develop City Wharf.

Located in Anderston Quay, the new development will comprise PBSA, Build to Rent apartments and amenity space, and commercial units.

Situated on a derelict site overlooking the Kingston Bridge, City Wharf will feature nearly 490 student beds, 500 one-, two- and three-bedroom energy efficient homes for rent and units for commercial use.

“We’re delighted City Wharf has been given the green light. It will play a key role in the significant transformation this part of the city is undergoing and help to bring more people into the area extending the vibrancy of the Clyde waterfront.”

Rachel Allwood, Planning Director, Dandara Living

Designed by architects Manson, residential amenities on the ground and first floors include a cycle hub, large open plan gym, residents lounge, and co-working spaces with views onto the River Clyde.

The development will also feature a new urban park for use by residents and the wider local community. New private courtyard spaces and recreational areas will also be available to residents with extensive planting and landscaping throughout.

Dandara Group and Dandara Living currently have over 5,000 homes and student beds in the pipeline. City Wharf is the next exciting step forward for the company’s portfolio.
