Beaufort Capital has completed a facility to fund the development of a new PBSA development in Glasgow city centre.

The client is a highly experienced residential and commercial developer. They have delivered multiple award-winning regeneration projects in both Scotland and England over the past 15 years.

The project will see the demolition of a former city centre office building to make way for the modern PBSA project.

Located under a ten-minute walk from Glasgow city centre, the new design-led PBSA scheme will deliver 321student beds which will appeal to a range of students in the city.

Amenities include a gym, student lounge, study room, a ground floor café and co-working space, and 685sqm (7,375sqft) of outside terrace space split across five floors. In total, there will be five sqm of amenity space per bedspace.

Future residents will benefit from being within easy reach of the University of Glasgow, Strathclyde University and Glasgow Caledonian University, which have a combined student body of over 86,000.

Demolition is underway and the scheme is expected to be open in time for the 2026/2027 academic year.

“We are very pleased to have completed this facility for this excellent addition to the Glasgow PBSA market.

“Glasgow has one of the largest student populations in the UK, coupled with a structural undersupply of quality PBSA, and a lack of supply coming to market in recent years.

“This project will make an excellent addition to the city’s student offering, and a stand-out development in the client’s already-impressive portfolio of projects.

“We have been working with this highly regarded developer for more than seven years, and we look forward to seeing this landmark site taking shape over the coming months.”
