McAleer & Rushe have announced practical completion at The Place, a new PBSA scheme in Nottingham for MRP Investment & Development.

Achieving practical completion on 23 August, the 11-storey ‘L’ shaped layout development offers 409 new student residences in Nottingham city centre, serving as a spectacular addition to their growing portfolio of PBSA projects in the Midlands.

Located on a brownfield site at the junction of Queens Road and London Road, The Place PBSA development is next to Nottingham Railway Station.

The Place scheme offers students stunning panoramic views of the city and a host of amenities including a sky roof lounge, gym, private dining room, and dedicated study spaces designed to elevate the student living experience.

“We are incredibly proud to have brought forward this exceptional development, providing high-quality accommodation for the city’s vibrant student community. With the first students already moved in as of August 31st, we wish all tenants the best as they settle into their new homes.”

The design team who worked with McAleer & Rushe include architects Consarc Design Group, interior designer Ekho Studio, for structural Ian Black Consulting, Caldwell Consulting for M&E, and BPP Energy for BREEAM.

A number of new PBSA schemes have been completed in the city to accommodate the growing student population. They have also transformed the student housing market. There has been a big rise in students wanting to live in PBSA over private rented housing in local communities.

A Meet the Buyer event, hosted by McAleer & Rushe, will take place in Glasgow on Thursday 19 September at 200 Renfield Street, Glasgow between 11am to 2.30pm.

Attendees will have the chance to meet senior members of the commercial and procurement teams and learn more about current and future opportunities.

“We have an exciting order book of upcoming projects in Glasgow and Edinburgh and are eager to establish long-term relationships with local businesses and skilled labour. At McAleer & Rushe, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of health, safety and quality, with dedicated targets to transition to a low carbon economy.

“Our goal is to become a partner of choice for businesses in Scotland who share these values and together, we can aim to achieve excellence, and leave a lasting positive legacy in the local communities we are fortunate to work in.”
