“At Global we recognise that the industry, which includes our own people, require a level of competency that can be proven. We are taking the right steps to professionalise an area of construction that has been neglected.
“Passive fire installation is a critical element and if those installers do not fully appreciate the need and relevance of the work, then they won’t take the care and effort required. We wanted to change this across the industry and were willing to put in the hard yards to develop brand new qualifications that are fit for purpose and designed with the installer in mind.
“We are proud to have combined our contracting divisions experience and our fire engineering consultancy academic input, to blend an approach to training that delivers tangible competence.”
Ross O’Loughlin, Director of Global Technical Services, Global HSE Group
