Kexgill Group has appointed Stephen Willis as Joint Managing Director. He will join in September, bringing with him an outstanding track record of leadership and strategic insight.
Stephen has previously held senior roles as Chief Financial Officer at Durham University, the University of Hull, and Leeds Beckett University, and currently serves as Chair of Unipol.
His significant experience in developing and delivering student accommodation through university and private company partnerships makes him exceptionally well-placed to help guide the Group through its next chapter.
Richard Stott, Joint Managing Director, has already had the privilege of working with Stephen on a number of partnership initiatives over the past decade and knows first hand the value he brings. His appointment reflects both the importance of the role and the ambition Kexgill has for the future of the Group.
“This strategic appointment marks a bold step forward. With Stephen on board, our commitment to partnerships, affordability, and building vibrant student communities is stronger than ever.
“UK universities and HE students are facing significant financial challenges at this time and Kexgill trading as University Quarter (UQ)) is extremely well-placed and highly motivated to work in partnership with them to overcome those challenges.”
