We keep student rooms comfortable,
while ensuring energy isn’t being wasted.
Our Products - HEATING CONTROLS
Both our heating control systems operate in the same way.
Rooms are kept at a constant, comfortable temperature - let’s say 18°C
- this is called the Setback temperature.
If the occupant wants the room to be warmer, they simply press the ‘up’ button and the system enters Boost Range, this is usually 23°C.
• After a pre-set time elapses, (usually 45 minutes), the system reverts to Setback.
• If the occupant leaves the room, while Boost Range is active, it reverts to Setback.
• If windows are opened or doors left ajar, heat input to the room is reduced.
• If a room is left vacant for longer periods, the heater is only activated if temperatures fall below 12°C .
Our controls are always striving to save energy.
The difference between our two systems - Irus and ecoStat - is that ecoStat is programmed using a dedicated infrared handset, whereas Irus is centrally controlled via the Irus Portal, accessed through the internet.
Irus also has many other monitoring capabilities such as, humidity, light, sound pressure, CO2, leak detection, water heating control etc.
Make your kitchens safer.
AUTO-OFF HOB CONTROL
HobSensus is a device that prevents hobs from being left switched on if a kitchen is unattended.
It is both a sensor and a timer. The timer cuts power to the hob when the pre-set time elapses. The 64-zone sensor watches over the cooking surface. If temperatures approach dangerous levels it generates an audible and visual alarm. If no action is taken to reduce the temperature, the power to the hob will be cut. When connected to a fire alarm, if it activates, the HobSensus multi-hob-off feature can cut the power to the hobs in all kitchens, an additional safety measure in the event of a full building evacuation.
Simple and quick to install and easy to operate, HobSensus brings the peace of mind that the risk of a COOKER FIRE is reduced, and your kitchen is a safer place.
HobSensus can be integrated with Irus. This enables energy used by individual cookers and sensor battery life (if not hard-wired) to be remotely monitored. Leak detection is an additional function HobSensus can employ when connected to Irus.
