Trinity Properties has been granted planning permission by Galway City Council to develop a new purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme at 7a Saint Francis Street in Galway city centre. Planning was submitted by Trinity Properties in December 2023, with approval this month.

The approved PBSA scheme will comprise nine student bedrooms, each complete with an en suite, communal areas such as a kitchen dining area and a living area, and a total of seven bicycle parking spaces. The development includes the construction of a new second-floor extension over the existing first floor.

“The availability of PBSA in the city remains a challenge and many of our students are having to commute significant distances.

“The University of Galway welcomes all additional student accommodation being provided throughout the city.”
